Being ready to seize an opportunity is very important at the semi pro level. We practice once a week in the regular season. If weather hits, weather hits. We will cancel practice from time to time, but Thursday, 3/7 was not one of those nights.
I was in Indianapolis, and wasn't seeing any weather. But the radar showed good chance of snow at the field. Practice was at Martinsville HS.
All of my players wanted to practice. We had guys traveling from Indy, Terre Haute, Bloomington, Columbus, and even Louisville, KY. Guys love football. They wanted to seize this opportunity to get better. So I kept it on. Drive safe everyone, I'll see you there.
We pulled up to a winter wonderland. Field under about 1/2 inch of snow, but it snowed the whole practice. It was a great time. Who doesn't like playing in the snow?
We got 30 plus players a chance to work on fundamentals, install some scheme, and compete.
I'm pleased that the guys made the most of that opportunity.
Next workout is Thursday, 3/21.
